I've been using an old electric smoker that used to belong to my grandfather and an ECB. Last night UPS brought my WSM, so I went out and bought two 5 lb butts and used the Renown Mr. Brown recipe from Smoke & Spice. I put one in the electric smoker and one in the WSM, 5 chunks of hickory in both and pulled them off about 11:30 (I also stuck a ham in the USM for breakfast). I gave my wife the taste test, a little worried she'd like the one that had been electrocuted better. No choice she said, the WSM was (in her words, without prompting) "a cleaner smokier taste."
