Jumbo Joe/OneTouch mod

Anyone ever taken the legs and ash pan from a Jumbo Joe and mounted it on an 18” OneTouch kettle? Or taken the propeller from an 18” OneTouch and installed it in a Jumbo Joe? I love the Jumbo Joe but it would be nice to have an easy cleaning system and also it would be nice to have the distance from the coals to the cooking grate of a OneTouch.

Sounds like you want a short 18.5" One-Touch. Just shorten the legs.

My SJP is pretty easy to clean, just grab two legs and dump it

Tim, that’s pretty much what I was thinking but, there are some modifications that MUST be explored!

I wish Weber would start selling the 18" OTG again, being looking for one for awhile with no luck.

I took a 18" OTG and cut the legs down to 7" long. A perfect traveler, fits into the trunk of a car very well.
