July 5th Boston Butt


 
So my girlfriend had a July 4th outing planned yesterday while my dad and my best friends were cooking bbq, I ate sub par burgers. So today I cooked....also wasn't down pouring

I used my homemade rub and cooked it between 250 and 275 using pecan wood with blue bag. 8.5lb butt put on at 10:15 took off around 8:00 when temps were around 195-200 and probed like butter.

I also made a South Carolina Mustard Sauce..





 
Subpar burgers also @ in laws for 4th. Looks like you nailed it Hamilton and made up for the 4th burgers. Excellent cook!
 
The sauce is sauté onion and garlic in butter then cooked in apple juice. Then blended, then added yellow mustard salt pepper white sugar cooked until it is thick enough
