My neighbor is going to get me some Pork belly on his trip to Neb., the shop in town sells 2 different kinds. Regular belly and JBO belly that sold as "Premium" cut and is thicker than there regular belly. Anyone heard of this before? Normal belly 10-12lbs is $1 per lb. and 14-16 lb. runs $1.25 lb. JBO is around $2.80 lb.

Got more clarification from the packing plant where getting it from, "It is a special cut belly. The spare rib is still attached but they pull each rib off by hand. They also cut them so they are nice and squared. Just a fancy cut for the Japanese. JBO stands for Japanese Break Operation."

D*mn, those are really good prices that you get, better than mine seeing as how we all hunt with dawgs and hawgs here in the swamps.

Yes they are good prices. Shame I have to buy it 700+ miles away from my house. Can't find any around me! I'm ordering 30 lbs. All I can fit.

Bob, I'll ask. Can't make any promises.

Tim I was kidding, I couldn't impose on a stranger, but would like to know the plant's location in case I'm ever in the area.

You mean you can't find a pig butcher in your area?!?!?

Yep! This is beef country down here. And also there isn't a true "Butcher" left in my area. There is a German town grocery/butcher about 79 miles one way from me that probably can get it but they are on the pricey side and plus 160 miles of gas come into play.
