It's been a while since my last post - been splitting time between brewing, grilling and work. Here's some weekend ribs :

Ran the smoker for the afternoon on Saturday for some back ribs

Great post!! I need a sample of the brew!!( I actually been trying to get set up for homebrew!)

What style was the brew?

This one was a simple American Pale Ale, mildly hopped with Cascade. I needed something nice and light to finish off the summer. I normally have a variety of English Ordinary or Special Bitters on hand. Next up is an Oatmeal Stout to prep for the cooler nights of the fall.

Those almonds look GREAT! Can you give some more info on how you prepare these? What kind of almonds do you start with, what seasoning and how long a smoke and what temp? Thanks!

For the Almonds, I started with an unsalted pack from Costco - didn't really pay a whole lot of attention to them. They were tossed with about a 1/4C of melted butter and a couple of tablespoons of BBQ rub. Smoked about an hour or so somewhere in the 250 degree range (didn't pay much attention to that - was getting brew gear ready) over maple wood, sturring up about halfway through.
