Is there a universally accepted term for dry-brining?

Is there a universal term for dry-brining? I see "salting," "pre-salting," "salt-marinating," and maybe a couple of others. Have they decided what to call the process yet? If you were conducting a search, what term(s) would you use?

Nothing universally accepted. I tend to call it dry brining. Googling 'dry brining' or 'dry-brining' will give you a slew of results.
