Hello, everyone. My birthday was a few days ago and my wife gave me a wonderful present...a Weber Performer! I've been grilling for the family with those $99 tin grills from WalMart, etc., for years. But she knows I've been eyeing this beauty each time I stroll into my local hardware store (we are fortunate enough to have a nice, small, locally owned Ace in the center of town. I haven't stepped into a Home Depot in years for this very reason). You guys have no idea how happy I am with it. Now...I just need to learn how to use it better! I've done a few dinners on it so far (steaks, chicken...), but haven't really even come close to using it to its full potential yet. I did, last night, make pizza on it. Yum!

Looking forward to participating here. A little about me...

Hope to be learning a lot!

Welcome Bruce. I've had a performer for years it's what got me back into charcoal grilling. There is a world of knowledge on this forum so don't be shy about asking questions someone will always have an answer to what you want to know.

Hi Bruce - welcome to the forum. Good thing my Mrs doesn't participate in the forum or she'd hit you up for some interior design questions! I may have to ask some baseball stat questions. I'm old fashioned, on baseball stats, ERA, Batting Average, HR,...... all well understood but a lot of the "new stats" are puzzling to me.

I'm probably going to sell my PK360 someday and go back to the Weber Performer. It just a solid easy to use and maintain grill, and with all of the color options they just look better than just about anything else out there. Let us know when you need some pointers.

Thank you! Feel free to drop me a note about baseball or grilling or whatever!

My next door neighbor in St. Louis is from NH - a great guy. Mostly quiet but talks my arm off when I get him going. He's been in St. Louis for at least 20 years and still has his New England accent.
