Interesting new aftermarket SS grill grates

I forgot to illustrate that spacing won't allow many foods to slip through (Larry) and the sear marks on steaks are perfect without having to rotate 90 degrees (Jon)!

Rods going opposite (90 deg) are welded underneath. Seems like a total waste of steel to me

Yeah, me too. The grill marks won't be any different from any other grate. I suppose the rods going the other way would prevent something like thin asparagus from dropping down onto the charcoal, but at the price they're asking, I can afford to lose a stalk or two once in a while.

Bottom line: Too pricey............ no real advantage, at least as far as I can see.
