Injecting Mr. Brown?

Since getting my WSM a few months back I've had huge success with Chris Lilly's Six-Time World Championship pork shoulder recipe. I think it's the best BBQ I've had and definitely the best I've made. I think the difference is the injection.

I have a friend that has a "Kick off the Summer Party" every year down at his "Rivah" house. Last year I cooked Renowned Mr. Brown on a propane smoker for the festivities. I thought it was good but the WSM is definitely traveling with me this year. He wants me to "do the same BBQ I did last year"...So Mr. Brown it is.

Mr. Brown doesn't call for an injection. Do you guys think Mr. Brown would benefit from an injection or should I stick with the original recipe? If so, with what should I inject it; Chris Lilly's injection, the mop recipe for Mr. Brown, something else?

The party is next weekend but I'm doing a test cook tonight so if whatever I do isn't good I can adjust.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

If you like the results of injecting, then I'd inject. I think it's a personal preference. I've done both and I can't really tell a difference.

I've done pork buts where I've marinated them in my homemade equivilent of Goya Mojo flavors. I've also used it to inject the butts for a very tasty result. I'd suggest injecting with your mop sauce and see how it turns out.
