In need of a sauce recipe

I'm looking for a nice sauce for pulled pork and I thought the kind folks in this forum could post links or give me some ideas based on the type of sauce of like. So here are a few things I like in a sauce:

1) I want it a mix of vinegar and tomatoe based ( I don't like all vinegar )

2) I don't like it too sweet (like KC masterpiece)

3) I like it to have some kick (my young kids will eat store bought I'm sure)

Other than that, I'm wide open. I know these are very broad guidelines but I appreciate your help.

You can start with #5 sauce and adjust it to your liking. Start with a little less sugar and add till you like it, same goes with your favourite hot sauce.

John, Kevin's KC Style Sauce is an all-time favorite of ours and should fit your needs perfectly. If you like it spicier, you can adjust. I usually make a huge batch and freeze some. It is my go-to sauce.

TEXAS-STYLE BARBECUE SAUCE

This is Gary Wiviott's amped-up version of the barbecue sauce served at Cooper’s, in Llano, Texas

2 cups white vinegar
2 cups ketchup
2 cups water
1 tablespoon Louisiana-style or Mexican-style hot sauce, such as Texas Pete, Louisiana, or Búfalo
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons freshly ground black peppercorns
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon Morton kosher salt
Large (hand-size) chunk of fat cap/bark from cooked pork shoulder *

Combine all of the ingredients in a large stockpot over medium heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Serve warm.

Last PP I made I used this Carolina style sauce that has a little heat and not too sweet. Just simmer it all together to dissolve the salt and sugar.

1 cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup hot sauce
¼ cup sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 ½ tsp red pepper flakes

2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
5 tablespoons light brown sugar
5 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 1 hour 15 minutes.

**I also add some hot sauce and red pepper flakes**
