Identifying Serial Number of my Grill

Hello,
Looking for some help on finding out what year my grill was manufactured. I took off the control panel today and the model number was 41000 and the serial number was N148396? I tried to use the Weber site to figure out the date, but couldn't use N1? The control panel also stated Gas Type "Natural". Is it possible that the control panel was switched out at some point or the grill was converted to Propane?

My guess is 1991.

When i was looking for grills I saw several that has a serial # meaning Natural Gas that have been converted over so it is possible.

You are spot on that is my grill. I guess it was converted at some point to NG?

Does the grill still have the tank holder and fuel sticker on the leg? That would indicate it started life as propane.

Yep, it had the tank holder and I assume it had the sticker at one time. I made a new sticker based on dimensions someone had posts on the forum.

Jeff is correct on the year. N is the year code for 1991.
