Icing the Breast - Spatchcock

So I plan to Spatchcock my bird based on a number of high recommendations to ensure that the breast does not get overcooked.

I presume that means I do NOT need to ice the breast prior to smoking? Any experienced feedback from you Spatchcockers?
 
I've never iced the breast. I get my WSM up to temperature then take the turkey straight out of the refrigerator and put it on. Hopefully someone who has done this method will reply. I have a turkey to experiment on Sunday.
 
No need for fancy tricks. Butterfly, tie ends of drumsticks together, and barbecue that sucker!
