I think I created a coffee monster LOL

So, my daughter was having me make coffee for her. Sometimes going so far as to stop here after dropping the little girls off at daycare and then go to work. Well, I have no shortage of decent grinders and have had such really good luck with that little 5 cup Cuisinart coffee maker (talk about punching WAY above it's weight the little machine turns out an outstanding cup of coffee for $45). So yesterday I gave her a small coffee scale, some of my really nice beans, the Cuisinart and my little Shardor grinder and had her come over to learn how to use it all. I somehow feel like a "pusher" :D

love my little Shardor
It's been my "go to" for something light and small enough to carry with. But, I still have my KitchenAid, another higher end Shardor and I have a Baratza Encore ESP I need to refurbish. Not sure if I will keep, sell or gift that one. Since it's smaller and more compactly made than the others. Honestly though for a beginner's grinder for my daughter it's perfect. Though the Baratza Encore may be easier for her. Weigh beans, drop in, turn on, run til empty and turn off. The Shardor is just a teeny bit more complicated.

Sounds like she really appreciates your coffee skills! It's great that you shared your equipment and taught her how to use it. A good grinder and scale will make all the difference in her brews.

Yep, I gave her a great "beginner's" grinder. Also a great little scale. And, that little Cuisinart 5 cup machine makes an incredibly good little pot of Joe. Especially when you take it's low price into consideration. And then I give her my really nice beans. So, I am sure she's enjoying herself
