I Caved And Picked Up A Redhead.... Weberitis Strikes Again

WhaaaAAAAAAT?!?!?! How could you get it and NOT try for fitment right away? I don't understand.....
Have you been using an air fryer to 'manage' your weberitis?
Well, considering the grill project has been all summer I think leaving it in the box for the last four days isn’t so bad.
Oh, I don’t have an air fryer.

I'm just curious if and want to confirm that the support pins line up properly with the fire box slots --- that might be enough to make me pull the trigger on one myself. I've run across one or two warming racks that 'look right' but the pins are off by 1/8-1/4" that you just couldn't 'make' it work.

And good --- I don't have an air fryer either (y) I try to keep the seldom used - tho useful at times - 'gadgets' to a minimum.... especially if they are a pain to clean.

I too am somewhat curious, as my amazon big deal days grates and thermometers made their ways back to amazon this weekend

I just went out and I can’t quite get to the firebox in fully open position, feels a touch tight but, I can’t tell for certain.
You’ll just have to wait😉

Such a tease! lmao

The thermometer looked great but didn’t want to have to drill out the end cap to make it fit. I just figured Qulimetal had a good reputation and would be a nice unit for $8

Well, since I “get” to save it! For someone else I’m betting.
I think with a minor adjustment the rack will be just fine, I don’t think I’ll make the 30 day window, the rack appears very well made, a little twist for a good fit, if I need to but, that’s about all I see.

whenever I’m done with my SS grill I will have a hanging basket, and likely the elevated rack you posted! That extra bit of room sure seems to be handy!

So the support pins fit in the box holes without problem?
I would expect some bending (E/W) may be needed to 'make it fit' or 'make it snug' --- easy enough to do. But the support pins not lining up makes for a 'no joy' situation....

And to clarify --- was this in a X000 or a B/C? They 'should' be the same, but I haven't confirmed that myself yet.

Jim, I have not fitted the rack into the box, it is not fully accessible at this time. I said “I think” it will fit. I’m not making any assumptions. But, I were I able to get the box out of the “safe” spot where it’s waiting for the new frame to be built I’d double check.
Oh, 2000.
