I can't find full packet brisket in Montgomery County, MD. Only flats...


 
Hey guys, doing my first brisket this weekend for a family BBQ.....a lot of pressure! Anyway, my dad called and said he picked up a 17 lb Flat from Sams Club. Can Flats be that large? I was thinking it has to be a Packer if its that damn big..... thoughts??

A 17 lb flat??? That cow must have been 8' tall for a flat to be that big. I've seen plenty of 17 lb full packers but not just a flat.
