Hot Drumsticks
As promised in another thread, I was on the hook to grill some chicken legs "buffalo style." Well this was not really an authentic hot wing sauce as you'll see. But first, here's the setup. Getting ready for the evening grill and tonight's smoke. Got 2 Boston butts to smoke overnight for pork ...er... turkey day. So the chimney going on the kettle for the chicken, and the WSM prepped for the butts.
So let's look at them legs. Prepped with S&P and garlic herb (as usual).
After a sear, drumsticks are on indirect for awhile: my favorite way to grill chicken.
Off the grill to rest.
Meanwhile Surfer Dude had doctored the BBQ sauce we used earlier this week by adding butter, Tabasco, and cayenne.
So the chicken was tossed with the sauce (does that rhyme?) and getting ready to serve.
Table is set with a salad, French bread, and a nice red wine.
