Hongso replacement parts

Recently ordered a set of Hongso SS burners and SS grates for my Weber Genesis through Amazon, and figured I'd start a thread about it since I haven't seen much about this supplier.

Here's a photo of the burners and grates that I received from Amazon:

Here's a shot of the grates installed:

These grates are solid and fit well, with roughly a 1/2" gap between the rods. Was originally planning on ordering the Qulimetal grates but they've been sold out the past few weeks and these Hongso grates seem to be of similar quality (wasn't impressed with the look/spacing of the Uniflasy grates).

Unfortunately no shot of the burners installed as the middle burner tube is flared on the end and won't fit through the opening in the firebox.

Amazon is going to send a replacement set of burners in case the first set was a defect.

I'm sure you tried, but it won't fit in if you start with the manifold side of the burner and thread through from the inside of the firebox on an angle?
 
You may have to remove or at least loosen up the manifold to get the burners in. They should go in easily if you have the manifold completely removed.
 
BTW, I have used quite a few Honsgo burners and grates on my grills. Very happy with them and their prices. Those Honsgo grates are basically identical to the Qulimetal grates. I wouldn't be surprised if they come from the same manufacturer.
 
Yup, the Hongso burners are good, no problem with them as my brother has em on his 3000...but...check your local Ace as they are clearing out the Genesis 1000-5000 burners (Weber 7506)...in my area anyways. I got 2 sets for $25 each (half off).

Good tip on the Ace possible sale. I will check my two local stores.

It seems like Hongso is a viable choice. My first go for an Asian import would still be Qlimetal, however. They have been very reliable and their products reflect going beyond the bare minimum. Rounded corners and edges, decent packaging.
 
Got the replacement set of Hongso burners from Amazon today. They still don't totally match the product photo, but at least this time the middle burner had enough play to fit into the firebox.
