Finally got around to fabricating a cart for my Weber OTS.

I repurposed a rusted out old Char-broil gasser...

A few threaded rods, some aluminum tubing, grill paint and plastic paint...and voila!

It still needs a few upgrades...a shelf underneath and one on either side for a trashcan and the charcoal caddy, a paper towel holder and the ash-catcher needs mounted, but even as-is, I'm pretty pleased with the results.

David...what do you do with the ashes? I see its a one touch, but are you going to put a ash collecter bucket on it from a OTG?

I was thinking the same thing, I think putting that Gold ash pan would be a very nice finishing touch to this.

Plus, I wonder if a bottom wire shelf...like from a Performer would be a close fit for this cart. That would be very convienent to have some storage space there.

How did you attach the bowl to the cart?

Are those a new style of Weber handles? Get yourself a push button propane torch as long as you add the OTG ash catcher assembly and ya have a propane starter.

Definitely leaning towards upgrading to the OTG ash-can, but presently just hanging the OTS dish from the leg sockets.

I'm still working on a lower shelf. Originally I planned on drilling holes in the aluminum square tubing and inserting steel round rod stock to make a shelf, but now I'm considering making a one piece sheet shelf.

Yes...and no.

The original grill was attached by a bracket and pin (see pictures) so I bent up a bracket and bolted that to the kettle. I used High Temp RTV silicone to seal the metal exposed in the kettle by drilling the bolt holes (see pictures).

I was inspired! I just picked up an old Kenmore gasser at a yard sale today for $7.50 ...... lol
I'm going to use the frame & base to mount my (free) OTG into it. Gasser also has a side burner. Going to gave to rebuild that for lighting the charcoal chimney. Nothing on this old gasser works. But the frame is solid & has some CI grates & wheels.

You bet. I have to get some pics of the gasser. It nasty. I think you would get sick eating que off of this thing.

Here is my 18 on a char-broil cart. Room in back for my one-touch and gold ash catcher. Now I will break it down for paint. Will post more pictures when complete.

I just finished painting the last piece of the "FrankIn-Weber Cart". I'll post it all in a thread will I'm finished.
