Higher Temps on WSM

Well, in another thread I said I am not an expert on the guru and this proved my point!

I looked at that link, got out my Guru, and what do I see but a damper! I've never used the damper in any setting except 100% wide open.

Unless you're going to cold smoke or do jerky on the WSM, you probably wouldn't want to. The 4CFM blower is the original blower and it was designed just for the WSM. Adding the damper added versitality for lower temp cooks.
