Hey! Love this site...from San Jose, CA #Hella

Welcome, Kirk! No worries about stepping on toes. Most of the WKC founders got their start here. In fact, you'll find much of their early work in the Weber Charcoal Grills forum.

They've done some good, original research on dating older kettles. I'm proud to have been the first website to publish how to decipher the date stamps back in 2003. In 2001, I was having dinner at the Weber Grill Restaurant in Lombard with a guy who worked for Weber Customer Support and who used to frequent these forums. Over dinner, he spilled the beans on how to decode the date stamp, and the rest is history. :)
