What kind of lump have you guys found in your area. All I can find by me is Cowboy and I don't care for it at all. I'm trying to find some other stuff. I would hate to order it since the shipping will be as much as the lump.

Royal Oak is around here. It is hit or miss with the quality. The last three bags I purchased were quite disappointing as it was all small pieces. Other times I have been very pleased.

Pathmark is the local store with RO. Other than that, it's Coboy or briquettes around here I have found.

Thanks, I'm in lancaster area every few months or so with the wife. Next time I head that way I make some calls, and deals with wife to make the extra drive.
I found a possible source in Newark, NJ:
Portuguese United Grocers
45 Wheeler Point Rd
Newark, NJ 07105
973-344-1561
Alas, they are a distributor and would not tell me where they sell to, only that they won't sell to me. SHAME.
I also found Wicked Good lump in Freehold at $22 for 22 Lbs guess I'll be going that route.

J Graz -

Where did you find the wicked good lump in Freehold? And I guess it is worth this price?

I used to see Royal Oak in Shop-Rite, but the last time I was there they had Malis Lump (sp?). I did look this up and it came recommended.

Did you give that a try? Was it recent, I might swing by on my way to/from work.

The only lump around here [NE NJ/NYC] is RO. I find it in Restaurant Depot. (you need a membership, so ask someone in the bar/restaurant biz... they might be able to help)
