Great looking trout, Sparky! I just got back from my annual winter trout tournament at Lake Taneycomo in Branson, MO. World class rainbow and brown trout fishing if you haven't heard of it. 28.8-lb. brown state record caught there a couple of years ago. Looks like I'll be smoking some of our catch. Thanks for the inspiration!
 
Awesome cook and amazing fishing spot. I think you'd like hunting. The amount of meat you can get off a deer or wild boar is astonishing. I'm like my guns but I am not wild over them, but the chance to sit in the woods and have time to read and reflect is pretty nice. Better than fishing for days you don't feel like actively reeling and casting, but I know some days there is nothing better than hitting the lake shore or a pond and throwing out a line.

You put any of the rub or herbs inside the fish? Or just let the meat be the sole star?
