Can anyone explain why the Weber EX6 takes 15 minutes to do it’s recommended shut down?
‘Why is it needed? I’m new to pellet smokers.
Thanks in advance!

If it's anything like my Traeger, the auger is shut down and the induction fan continues to run, blowing air through the auger tube to keep the fire from following the pellets into it. The 15 minutes is to ensure any pellets in the smoke pot will finish burning. Without this, the fire could burn up through the auger tube and light the hopper off.

Thank you Bob, makes perfect sense.
Appreciate the help.
