Help replacing side burner pilot line

Was trying to remove the burner valve off the side burner of my genesis gold and I stupidly broke the line going from the valve to the cook top. I think my best bet is to find a generic replacement pilot tube and flared ends. Any one have a guess to what size the tubing is and what the thread size would be? I have a caliper measuring device on the way, and am not sure how else to get a precise measurement of them..

Just a quick tip. There is not much special there. You could almost put a piece of silicone high temp tubing over both ends and live with that. There is no real pressure there. Your chances of it failing are slim and none
 
I am thinking brake line would be a possibility as well. If you can match the size, all you would need is a length of tubing and a flare kit which is usually available free to rent from an auto parts store. I had never did anything with brake lines before but I redid the brake lines on my camper about 5 years ago after watching a couple youtube videos. It may be a deeper cave than you want to venture in, but it might be a solution and wouldn't cost much.

As in just attach silicon tubing to either side and secure it with a hose spring clamp? Might be the easiest option.


Also I like Bruce's idea of getting a brake line flaring tool. More skill and time involved there though but would be nice to know how to do that. I don't imagine myself working on any solid brake lines in the future though. But funny enough I did have to replace a rubber brake line on one of my corners recently.
 
I can't see how a 1/4 inch copper tubing would restrict the flow. the ID of 1/4 inch tube seems to be much, much larger than the diameter of the orifice.
