Hello from the Netherlands

Hi,

my name is Lourens I am from a little town in the Netherlands called Purmerend. After owning a couple of Weber bbq's I bought myself a 22" Smokey Mountain Cooker. me and the family already had much fun with it, smoking ribs, pulled pork and for our weddingparty I even smoked 50 sausages at once, which was a hugh succes.

I do hope to find here some inspiration to keep the WSM smoking. For WSM day 11 i'm going for my first time brisket.

Welcome Lourens. This is a great site with lots of helpful information, provided by the community of good people here. Any questions you might have will be answered by folks who really enjoy what they are talking about.

I visited the Netherlands in February on business. The cities we stayed in were Eindhoven, Best, and Amsterdam. Are you nearby any of those? I heard from one of my hosts that there are more bicycles in NL than people, and I believe it!

Welcome, this is the place to get inspired. Everyone is encouraged to counterfeit ideas. My first weber was a 22" WSM. I would love to see one of you're cooks.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the welcome here. I live in Purmerend a city very close to Amsterdam (about 15-20 minutes by car). Your host was/is right about the dutch bicycles. I own 3 bicycles and some friends own even more, so there you are.... But I'm more in to low & slow bbq lately.

I prefer BBQ to bicycles, also. :)
