Hello all! I’m a pizza and barbecue fanatic in Palm Bay, Florida. Discovered home Neapolitan pizza about a year ago. I started with a cheap pellet oven. I quickly moved on from there. I’ve bought three more ovens since. My Big Horn 13” propane side burner pizza oven is by far my favorite. Followed by the Expert Grill Charcoal Pizza Oven! I love it too! The Big Horn has made me lazy! Plus I had to figure out that it’s way easier to cook Neapolitans at 750• than 950-1000•!

I also love to smoke chicken and ribs! I recently bought a new smoker, a 22” premium Weber Kettle! Just looking at all accessories available for it was exciting! It’s also a nostalgic choice for me as it’s the only grill my father ever used!

As much as I hate pellet grills, I jumped on the Spider 22 almost instantly! I always thought that they were cheating. Nor did I care for the flavor. But, after watching my brother in-law smoke a brisket on one, I had to get one!

I’m excited about the possibility of a pellet fired pizza oven! Also by charcoal pellet blends! I appreciate all that have contributed to the forum. I plan to make my contributions this year! Thanks all!

Hi Jon, welcome from PA! Pizza looks great, there’s a lot of “pizza guys” here that can help with any questions you might have.
 
It’s a done deal! $88.80 at Walmart.com! I just bought a second Weber! One will be a dedicated Spider 22 pellet grill! Something I said I’d never do! I thought it was cheating! Much like cyclists told me I was cheating when I bought an e-bike! It might be, but I plan to love it anyway! I can’t wait to do a three hour spatchcock chicken! I plan to do a lot of smoking and pizza making this Summer! It’s almost here in paradise, already! I’m super stoked!!!😊
 
Thanks for the warm welcome! I have been learning so much! I have so many pizza and barbecue ideas and plans for the summer! That’s about nine months of the year in these parts! Which is good and bad. But, great for cooking outdoors! I remind my wife about that every time she questions my newest expense for my outdoor cooking/kitchen 😝 I have my new Weber accessorized!

Did some wings. They were good. But, a bit on the salty side. I went a little overboard with the dry brine! The dry brine is a GAME CHANGER! Just don’t over do it! I think I’m ready to sell my Spider 22, also. It’s fine, nothing wrong with it. I have convinced myself, pellet grills and high tech thermometers aren’t for me! Except maybe an expensive steak! God bless analog barbecue!!🙏🙏
