Hi, all. I got my start when an uncle gave me a 30 year old Genesis he'd rebuilt. I had to give it away when I moved back to NYC. For a decade following, I lived in apartments with no outdoor space, but found my Go-anywhere surprisingly capable when I'd lug it to a park. Meanwhile, I bought kettles, and eventually used Spirits to use at my parents' home and cabin. Five years ago, I finally bought my own home, with a little yard, which my spouse filled with a beautiful ocean blue Genesis to compliment my two kettles (of which one was a curb find), old go-anywhere, and Q1200 (gifted by a friend who moved overseas). I often use the side burner instead of my kitchen stove for the likes of cooking breakfast eggs. Last year, we had 'Friendsgiving' in which we prepared, cooked and ate a thanksgiving menu entirely outdoors in October sweater weather, which was great fun, and clean-up involved little more than a grill brush. I'm happy to join this community and meet others who also do stuff like go out and look at their grill for no good reason, or ask themselves, " why can't I make soup on a grill?"
