I’m new to this site, and I want to thank Samuel for his guidance on starting a thread. This is my first rehab of a Genesis Silver A. It was given to me and in better shape than an older grill I have used for 25 years. I had a side burner on my old grill and wanted to add one on this grill on the left side. I also wanted to add a slide up table on the right side. I know there is no bracket on the frame for the table, but I’m thinking there is a way to modify a piece of metal of some sort to hold up the table for use. I have already replaced the bottom inside base replacing the rotted one, and ordered a new back panel for the same reason. The rest of the frame is great and just sanded and painted the frame, work in progress. I am learning an awful lot from this site and Soooo my project begins. :) IMG_0909.jpeg

Steven Welcome to the forum!

Where did you find the back panel. When I contacted Weber last week they said the back panel was unavailable. I need one

I ordered it from Grill Spot, it was on back order, but they emailed me on Monday and said they were hoping to have it in by this week. I think it was $40 Fingers crossed :)

What model number weber did you use to look up the part. I cannot find it.

Weber OEM Rear Panel

SKU: 99256
I didn't have an actual model number. I googled Weber Silver from the front cover and kept looking at pictures to and models that best fit
what I had, I'm guessing more hoping it will fit. But the picture of the back panel they showed, looked just like the one I had, which was rotted.
I'll let you know when it comes in, and if it fit.

Hi Steven. Welcome. I used to live and work (Wang Labs) in Lowell back in '87. I met my wife there. Currently living in VA and may be moving to DE soon. Much shorter grilling season there;-)

Seems to me you just moved not too long ago to Virginia so I'm sorry if you have to uproot again so soon. My grandparents moved from Illinois to Wilmington Delaware when I was a child and remember visiting them there. It was a very nice place and I enjoyed fishing in the Delaware River with my grandfather. I've lived in the same house for over twenty years and hope to only move one more time. Even though I'm only 56, the thought of having to move again is not very appealing, good luck.
