Greetings all. Just bought my first smoker (18-1/2 Weber Bullet) last weekend and had quite a few problems on first attempt to smoke tri-tip. Too much wind, temp wouldn't go past 150F (probably due to too much water in tray) and coals expended to quickly. Needless to say, I've got a lot of learning to do but will try again tomorrow with a 2lb salmon. Wish me luck!
 
Hi Ralph and welcome to the forum. Congrats on that 18.5. This is a great place to learn. There is a lot of good info here. Spend some time looking at the operating tips on the home page.You'll find a lot of helpful information about operating your cooker.
