hello from cincy

hello everyone. i'm brian and i've just recently found this site a few weeks ago and have been reading as much as i can. i have owned a weber 18.5 kettle grill for several years, love cooking on it but i never knew i could smoke on it. i'm so excited to give it a go this year. i will definately have alot of questions since i'm a greenhorn but it seems this is the place to get the answers. i'm very excited to be a member of this community.

Welcome aboard. We all started at step one so don't sweat it. Folks here are pretty open and easy so ask what you need to.

I recommend all new folks read TVWB.com pages. (Link above ^) There's a boat load of info that can head off questions and concerns and flatten the learning curve.

Thanks kevin..i got a little over ambitous and decided to try to smoke some st.louis ribs. They're on right now with stubbs rub and mustard, applewood for smoke on my kettle. Bad news is i dont have a thermometer yet so i'm winging it. Oh yeah, can of beer in the pan and hand. We'll see how it goes.
