I’m a BBQ newbie who is lucky enough to be getting an 18-inch WSM for Mother’s Day next month. I’m hoping to soak up enough knowledge before it gets here that I don’t completely ruin my first smoke, and to work my way up to a brisket. It’s hard to get good BBQ around here so I have to take matters into my own hands.

I’m on Sequim Bay about 15 minutes from town, and about 35-45 minutes from the ferry to Victoria.
