Hello Weber Family. Very excited to be a part of the Weber family. Have asked for a smoker for a few years and was surprised with one this year for Christmas. Practice run yesterday and full run today.

Looking forward to all the information this group has to offer and share.

C'mon Jim, that instruction manual is very useful --- for lighting up the first, maybe even the second, chimney of charcoal. :D

Welcome Adriane - which model (size) smoker did you receive?

Welcome to the group Adriane. You're in the right place for knowledge, ideas and just plain fun!! Looking forward to seeing some posts of your cooks. :wsm:

Hi I used to live in Quail Valley for nine years. Now I am in Pearland. You are going to love this site there are so many helpful people here.

I received a 18 1/2 in Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker. Getting ready to lay on some Chickens for my first test run.

The Manual..... well it does not even really give the best directions on how to put it together (not that I could not figure it out for myself...) So may have to use it to start the smoker at some point.

My husband was laughing as I got up through the night just to see if it was holding its temp. Was delighted that 9 1/2 hours later with a half bag of Kingsford to start, was still holding a wonderful smoke and temp.
