Heat Leak?

I'm wondering if this is normal...

There seems to be a considerable amount of heat and smoke coming out of the top portion of the door of my inherited WSM. In fact, there's a good portion of the external part of the body(just above the door)that bears the heat mark even after it cooled down.

The door by the way was a little bent when I got it, it doesn't lay flat(top portion) to the body surface.

Is this considered a leak?

Thanks for the reply.

It's normal for some smoke and heat to escape around the door. My cooker has the heat/smoke mark above the door. Still, the door should touch the body of the cooker at all points for the best fit.

Visit Parts Troubleshooting for instructions on how to fix.

Regards,
Chris

I had the same problem with mine, and found a tip on here somewhere about putting the door on upside down. That solved it - no leaks at all.

Thanks for the reply Chris, yeah it does looks like the picture in the troubleshooting section /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Steve, that's a pretty neat trick /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
