Too good to be true? Not according to the esteemed scientists at Texas A & M (I knew those Aggies were good for something

Wink)
Read about their findings on the healthy brisket! Have some brisket tonight knowing that monosaturated fat does a body good! Do you believe this?

Who funded the research, the beef industry?

There will soon be a report that Tri-Tip is good for your health from a school in Santa Maria, California, lol.

I am waiting for the butt and rib study to come out. You need to cut down on your vegies and eat more red meat...hahahahah

Sure I believe it. Corn feeding will do that. Monounsaturated fats are what make olive oil a good thing.

If true it would apply to all beef cuts: tri tip, chuck roll, rib roast, etc.

It's surprising how little is known definitively about human nutrition, but this story goes against most current thinking. Corn-fed beef is very high in omega-6 fats and low in the omega-3 variety. Beef that is finished exclusively on grass contains much more omega-3.

It also tastes better than salmon, IMO.
