Have you started your garden?

No cat's, but plenty of squirrels, this year especially.
Need to dust of my critter ridder or buy a new pellet gun.

My tomatoes quit producing 3 weeks ago. We're down to the final few. We become home grown sated by this time, but in a couple of months I'll be craving the flavor of a home grown tomatoe.

All my onions are in storage. But I got bell , jalapeno, and banana pepper producing in spades. Got a lot of basil, far far more than we use.

And my winter cilantro has sprouted. We don't get much from spring time planted cilantro, it bolts with temps in the 80's. But I plant this winter cilantro next to a southern exposure of the house. I had cilantro all last winter, it even survived our " deep freeze" of 12 days below freezing temps. And there's no comparison between fresh cilantro and store bought, its soooo much better.

The brick absorbs heat and it creates a more southern climate, more like Dallas or even further south. I will plant garlic next to the cilantro this October.
