Hamburger Roast a la Mini (aka: Meatloaf)

Made my wife's favorite, meatloaf, for Thursday dinner. Combined about 2lbs. hamburger & 1 1/4 lbs. grnd pork and whatever looked good in the spice cabinet. Formed into a disposable 9" alum cake pan with holes I made w/ice pick for grease to drain off.

Went into the Mini with a bunch of small chunks/chips of cherry wood from the bottom of the bag

Also cut up some Red potatoes and coated good with olive oil and a packet of Lipton onion soup mix and threw those on the Genesis.

Pulled it off at 160* and gave it a little rest then sliced. It had a nice smoke ring on top

It was all excellent! Love the potatoes roasted like that!

Looks Great... Two questions.

1. Did you poke any holes in the pan? drip any grease?

2. How long and what temp on the Meatloaf?

Matthew it took about 2 hrs. The Mini was at 260* when I put it on and I let it run wide open on top and bottom, after a while it got up to 340-350. I was impressed with how well the Mini ran on this cook!

Great, might try this, this weekend.
