GrillGrates vs Griddle

Sad but true. Prices for 9mm SS grates have gone up, too - misery loves company, I guess.

I posted about this inexpensive 3 year old Spirit grill on FBM that had Grillgrates but was 2 1/2 hours away on the other GG thread. No one else went for it. I wanted to fill out my set, so my wife and I took a nice road trip and picked it up $50 with tank, original grates, and rotisserie. I will keep the GG to fill my set on the Napoleon, and have some to play with on the charcoal grills. As a bonus we picked up a $30 Silver C on the way back. We did have a great lunch in MD at a Jamaican restaurant. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2012523345615835

I now have everything setup and used them for another veggie and chicken sausage cook. We went to a couple from my wife's gardening club who own a farm and picked up eggs and a vegetable basket. The basket had lots of peppers and okra which is not exactly our favorite. That was the reason for this cook to use that stuff. Lets just say we are still not an okra fans.

Dang, Joe, you sure keep your grilling equipment clean !!!!
Yah I am a little anal-retentive with my stuff. I clean the charcoal grills pretty nicely after each cook (I have a paintbrush and plastic scraper). The gasser about every 4-5 cooks gets taken apart and scraped and cleaned. Then once or twice a year they get the full treatment. That is why I like consolidation as less to maintain;-)
