My brother gave me what he called "Grill" peppers from his garden. Any advise on how to best prepare these ?? Should I cut them in half and grill them or what ? Any info appreciated. Thanks John
Grill peppers? What do they look like? I grill red, green and yellow peppers for my mixed veggies all the time. I also grill/char chilies regularly for my Salsa Negro (damn that stuff is good), but I usually do these on our comel (sp?), it's basically a cast iron grill Mexicans use for tortillas etc. Works great for charing chilies.
EDIT: I didn't answer your question regarding how to prepare. If they're "standard" peppers like green, red or yellow I'd slice up and mix in some additional veggies like THESE toss with some EVO, fresh ground pepper, sea salt, some minced garlic (or garlic powder) red wine and a little bit of balsamic vin. Grill, to your desired "doneness" remove to a bowl and toss with a little more balsamic. KILLER!!!
There green smaller peppers. Man I looked at your pic, that's enought to, make your mouth water. I think I'l slice up some onions and whaterever else I can find, and grill them up seasoned as you indicated. I have some leftover chicken we will finish up for supper, will grill veggies, while reheating the chicken. thanks again Larry. John
