Anyone know of a good light to put on a Weber Performer for night cooks?

Hi Lance,

I personally like using a headlamp since the light goes to where I'm looking. But if you're interested in a clamp on, battery powered LED type, I found this one at Amazon -Fulcrum 20019-301 Battery-Operated LED Clip-On Task Light. One reviewer said the clamp opens to a maximum width of 3.5" which would work with the Performer.

I was given the Weber version as a Christmas gift. As a standalone I doubt it would be satisfactory but it makes a good supplement to the poor outdoor lighting I currently have. I have a the weber light that attaches to my deck rail. I has a C clamp for simple attach/detach. Works great.

Agree with Pete in PG. I have a small adjustable task-lamp on the Performer but I find a good quality head lamp a much better tool overall.

I use a head light too. It's great for grilling, smoking, deep frying and many other uses.

headlamp here also. its such a multi tasking tool. or just get a pole and attach it to the grill and hang one of those cheap portable work lights from it.

I have a cheap clamp on portable work light that I use when i have to cook in the garage , but out on the patio , the headlamp is the way to go....as pete said , the light is always pointing where you're looking...and they are cheap nowadays

I have a Maverick GL 400 that I picked up recently at Amazon. I like it because it has a hinge on it so it will lay flat on my performer when the cover is on. No need to unmount it from the table.

I have an el cheapo WM version of the clamp on. Haven't had a chance to use it yet,but it looks pretty bright.
