Hello all - new to the board and new to smoking. Received a 14.5 WSM for Christmas and have had a few cooks with it so far - mostly positive! Information from this forum has been invaluable - thank you!

I reside in Raleigh currently, originally from Maryland. Have been in this great state for 12 years and counting and have had the pleasure of sampling some of our state's finest. I am partial to Eastern NC style after spending 5 years in Greenville at East Carolina University - but I do not discriminate the other styles and am trying to learn all I can!

Ray Crick - B's is the hometown favorite, right?!

Always thought B's was great but wasn't always interested in their lines. Favorite was probably Boss Hogs but I preferred their chicken and their ribs.

All time favorite in Greenville was Chaps - though it closed down long ago.

I agree that B's is good - and I also hate the lines and the fact that it is not the "cleanest" plce in town. I also miss Boss Hogs.
