Grate Brush Dropping Bristles

I'm using the Summit S-470. When I use the brushes that look like they have SS bristles, after 3-4 uses, there are metal brisles all over the grates. Dangerous say the least!!
Are these things that short-lived? They're only a couple of bucks. Am I expecting too much?

Yes, the Weber brushes have thicker bristles than some others.

I think you just got a bad one. I've always bought the cheap ones and never had that happen. I think just about any brand will do better than what you just experienced.

Thanks to this board, I decided to throw out my $1 store specials and invest in a better brush. Loose bristles is not an added spice I need to put in my food.
