Wow I did not know you could use grape wood. Bryan you said chicken and lamb is grape wood a strong wood like hickory or oak? Or is it along the lines of apple and cherry?

Grape wood is a very mild wood.
 
Grape-vine is now my go-to wood for poultry. I had a blog post about it a couple months ago. It is pretty mild but has a nice sweetness to it. Try it and let us know how it turned out for you.
