grabbed a performer off craigslist - needed a tweak but she's ready to rock.

needed a couple nuts that came off in her lifetime, but a trip to true value squared her away.

will be giving her a run this weekend.

does anyone have any idea what year she's from? pardon my st00pidity, i'm new.

:)

Congrats, that looks to be in pretty nice condition. You can determine the year of manufacture by finding the two letter date code on the lid vent and deciphering the year built here: http://virtualweberbullet.com/wsmage.html#codevalues The date stamped on the tank might also be a clue to the approximate year built.

My wild guess for that lid is 1998 (EZ code).

You get that in Suburban Chicago? I emailed on one just like it this week but I havn't heard from the guy.

Just as well, my wife would have my nuts in a vice if I came home with another (11th?) grill.

i'm a recovering guitar gear obsessor. so my gal is fine with me bringing home gear that helps keep her out of the kitchen.

11? nice!

thanks! going to get the lp tank filled at uhaul later today. hoping to clean up the grate today as well. (any tips on that are very welcome and appreciated).

she needed a few tweaks here and there but i like the red two tone look a lot more than i thought i would.

Beautiful red head!
We're you able to get your tank filled?
Never tried it but I've heard to put the grate in a large trash bag & spray oven cleaner on it & let it soak.
Or...
Tis the season to visit your local Target store for discounted Weber goodies!

I've been playing guitar for a little over a year now & finding out what you mean; I've got GAS & had no idea that you can recover from it...

thanks for the tips! i checked target for a 22.5 grate with no luck, only 18's left. can snag one at ace but nothing on sale there yet. was going to get the tank filled but realized it's pretty heavy and sloshes so i need to hook it back up. :p

as far as gas, yes it does subside but it took me about 7 years. i finally found a few nice guits and the right amps (for me) and i've been happy ever since. sold off the pricier stuff and kept the guitars i really liked. now i have to find a lime green 22.5. :-)
