Going a different direction, looking for a more polished product right now


 
MAK, will get to 600 degrees?
It don’t think it’s going to sear a steak like the SmokeFire which is fine. I can do that on my WSCG or Q1000 if I really want a crazy sear.

MAKs will get to 550-600 with the flame zone, it just will be less infrared energy than the SmokeFire due to their design.
 
I doubt you will have any regrets. In fairness, the SmokeFire, Recteq, Grilla and some others compete in a different, more middle of the road, arena. MAK is top drawer - kind of like Wolf, Fire Magic and Lynx gas grills.
