After 13 months and over 100 cooks the original glow plug that came with my EX-6 finally died. If I get out of work early enough today I will swap it out for a new one. Feels like I'm losing a part of the family !!

I’m getting a notice to change mine, I’m just wondering if that’s based on a year of running or how the SF determines this? I’m ignoring it for now. Maybe this weekend. I’ll be using the small stainless hose clamp to lock it in that others have tried.
Neither used glow plugs. They used a hot rod. The Rec Tec was ceramic and supposedly good for 30 years. Camp Chef was steel, 6 years old when I sold it. Some folks had theirs fail in the first year. I don’t know if there’s much difference between a glow plug and a hot rod other than terminology.
