Gifting NY Cheesecakes

I’ll settle for a cheesecake gift certificate and wait until you figure out a packaging and shipping plan. Or bring one with you if you ever visit Idaho. Happy Hanukkah, Brett!

Back in the 70's early 80's there was a restaurant called "The Rusty Pelican" in Alameda. It was a favorite of ours, I even proposed to my bride there. They made the most amazing Cheesecake, when making reservations, you had to reserve yours when you made your reservation and if you were a walk in, you better have Power Ball Winning luck if you were to get a piece. You might want to re-toy your business adventure, there is always a market for exceptional Cheesecake!
i used to make and sell them locally. proof of concept exists. sales were easy to come by. but turning a small hobby into a business is the challenge. each done cake is 4# 10 oz. 8 slices per cake is 9.25 oz per serving. that's kinda huge. my COGS on cream cheese per cake is now $6.66, plus all the other ingredients.
