Another Performer cleaned up by yours truly! Helped my neighbor clean up his new to him 2011 Performer. It was gross. He bought it the day I bought my copper top one.

$50 for the grill, $45 for new grates. 3 hours of cleaning.

Its almost perfect. He desires a new style lid for it to make it look perfect.

If anyone has one a spare lid, let me know!

If he goes online and registers it through Weber, tells them it is rusting out they may send a new one for free.

Does anyone have a black lid that is in good shape willing to part with in good shape

Black kettle lids are the easiest to find. Just keep an eye for a cheap kettle on FB and use the lid off of it. Put the old lid on the kettle you bought off FB and sell it...you'll probably be able to at least make your money back or even make more, depending on how well you clean it up.

He actually called Weber and they sent him a lid free of charge. No one has better customer service than them
