Look for Rivet-Nuts and a Rivet Nut Tool. These work exactly as the Guru Eyelets do for a lot cheaper.

For what it's worth, the eyelets are not necessary. I have them on both of my WSMs and have probably used them 1-2 times in the past 4 years or so. As long as you're careful and don't slam the lid down, they will work just putting the wires under the lid.

Larry, thanks for the tips as always. Then can I re-inforce the wire with duct tape or electrical tape ? So to really avoid the wire crimping ?

You could place a small piece of aluminum foil under your wires, but if your gentle with your lid, you don't really need anything.
Tape will shrink up and make a mess out of your probe wires.

but if you really want that stuff the nuts are more of a automotive kinda thing so check at body shop supply houses, big auto parts stores and big hardware stores but i have not seen them at lowes nor home depot.

No eyelits here. I run mine through either the vent in the lid or though the side access door. On mine I install the door upside down and there is enough room to run thr cables through the tp of the opening. Vince

Simon, just do like Larry said.I run mine under the lid all the time. No reinforcement neccessary. And always trust Larry!
