Genesis XXI (Jr) Restoration

Mock up for the tables so I can check my spacing and it looks like I have 3/16 on the lower tables and 5/32 on the top table and flip table. I'm very happy with that. Factory spacing is about 1/4 average give or take a little. So I try to stay just a hair under a quarter for my spacing between slats. I cut my wood about a strong 1/16 of an inch bigger than what I want to end up with and after router and sanding I'm usually right where I want to be. I just cut my slats all exactly the same size for the top and bottom tables this time. The spacing was close enough to the same. Last time I cut my slats a tiny bit wider on the bottom to keep my spacing the same.

Finish putting my tables together today. I was able to use 3/16 spacers for everything. Worked out perfectly! I took my time as usual and everything came out exactly as I planned it to. There's a couple things I'm going to change but this one's pretty much done.

Just realized I forgot to put the utensil/tool hooks back on. So I'll do that now.

That's the coolest thing I've ever seen on this forum or maybe anywhere! Incredible Josh.
Thanks Val! I was hoping to take it up a notch from my last Genesis Junior restoration which I absolutely love and I think this one is at least as good if not better. I'm very happy with the results.

I do that all the time myself.

Wow Josh-I thought the one here was amazing, but think you've surpassed yourself! That woodwork would make a finish cabinetmaker blush! Breathtaking! Love the color choice on the wood too. Brightwork ss really makes the whole project pop!
