I used a #7509. It fit perfectly. I was tired when I tried the first time and didn't get it to fit. My mistake.

So those have fourteen slats on the bottom instead of twelve on a Genesis 1000? I never noticed that before. How many Zbars total?

Two tables on the bottom and one on top and one flip table. So 7 pieces of Z-metal and 2 flip table brackets.

It would also be cool if you did a half table of slats on the left side. I think Hank did that to one of his juniors and I thought it looked really good. It just looks like something is missing on that side.

Are the bottom Zbars a different length than the ones on a Genesis 1000? Sorry if I'm asking too many stupid questions, I guess I never paid that much attention to those juniors.

Nothing wrong with keeping it original. That's probably one of the reasons why those don't appeal to me that much, they just don't quite look right to my eye. I do still appreciate the craftsmanship you're putting into it to bring it back to like new.

Yeah I'd like to stock up on them and flav bars and if he is making grates again I'd like to get a one piece grate for my Jr. 9930 style.

That we do, but it doesn't mean I don't appreciate good work when I see it. I know you don't really like that Genesis Gold C I have, but I've grown to love it almost as much as a 1000.

If I can ever find one cheap enough, I would like to get a newer front control Genesis to play around with and see if I could like cooking on one as opposed to what I've been used to since 1998.
